Session 868 MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL June 19, 1967 At a regular meeting of the University City Council held in the Assembly Room of the City Hall on Monday, June 19, 1967, ~yor Nathan B. Kaufman presided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: Mr. Lawrence Lieberman Mrs. Harriett Woods Mr. Harold B. Bamburg Mrs. Zelda Epstein ABSENT: Mr. H. Hadley Grimm and Mr. Carl I. Katzen. Also present were City Manager Charles T. Henry and City Counselor John J. Morris. MINUTES: It was moved by Councilman Woods, seconded by Councilman Lieberman and unanimously carried, that the minutes of the Special Session, held on June 7, 1967, be approved as received. Referring to the minutes of the Special Session held on June 12, 1967, Councilman Epstein requested the following addition: on Page 3, subject: PUBLIC HEARING - 1967-68 BUDGET, at the end of the third line on the page, a sentence be added reading, "Councilman Epstein said she was not criti- cizing, but merely wanted to issue a warning." Councilman Lieberman moved that the minutes of the meeting of the Council held on June 12, 1967, be amended accordingly. I, iotion seconded by Council- man Epstein and unanimously carried. Councilman Lieberman moved that the minutes of the meeting of June 12, 1967, as amended, be approved. Motion seconded by Councilman Epstein and unanimously carried. IN ME~iORI~{ - CARDINAL JOSEPH RITTER: i~yor Kaufman called attention to an IN M~ORIAM resolution which had been prepared on behalf of the Council as a tribute to the late Cardinal Joseph Ritter who passed away on June 10, 1967, and at the request of the Mayor~ the City Clerk read the resolution. It was moved by Councilman Epstein, seconded by Councilman Lieberman and unanimously carried, that the resolution be adopted and spread upon the records of the City. A copy of the resolution is attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
