Session 868 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />June 19, 1967 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the University City Council held in the Assembly <br />Room of the City Hall on Monday, June 19, 1967, ~yor Nathan B. Kaufman <br />presided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. In addition to the <br />Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Lawrence Lieberman <br />Mrs. Harriett Woods <br />Mr. Harold B. Bamburg <br />Mrs. Zelda Epstein <br /> <br />ABSENT: Mr. H. Hadley Grimm and Mr. Carl I. Katzen. <br /> <br />Also present were City Manager Charles T. Henry and City Counselor John <br />J. Morris. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Woods, seconded by Councilman Lieberman and <br />unanimously carried, that the minutes of the Special Session, held on <br />June 7, 1967, be approved as received. <br /> <br />Referring to the minutes of the Special Session held on June 12, 1967, <br />Councilman Epstein requested the following addition: on Page 3, subject: <br />PUBLIC HEARING - 1967-68 BUDGET, at the end of the third line on the page, <br />a sentence be added reading, "Councilman Epstein said she was not criti- <br />cizing, but merely wanted to issue a warning." <br /> <br />Councilman Lieberman moved that the minutes of the meeting of the Council <br />held on June 12, 1967, be amended accordingly. I, iotion seconded by Council- <br />man Epstein and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Lieberman moved that the minutes of the meeting of June 12, <br />1967, as amended, be approved. Motion seconded by Councilman Epstein <br />and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />IN ME~iORI~{ - CARDINAL JOSEPH RITTER: <br />i~yor Kaufman called attention to an IN M~ORIAM resolution which had been <br />prepared on behalf of the Council as a tribute to the late Cardinal Joseph <br />Ritter who passed away on June 10, 1967, and at the request of the Mayor~ <br />the City Clerk read the resolution. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Epstein, seconded by Councilman Lieberman and <br />unanimously carried, that the resolution be adopted and spread upon the <br />records of the City. A copy of the resolution is attached hereto and made <br />a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />COiv~UNICATION S .: <br /> <br />Upon inquiry by Mayor Kaufman whether any communications have been re- <br />ceived, the City Clerk replied negatively. <br /> <br /> <br />
