Study Session 1944 <br />January 10, 2005 <br /> <br />BILLS FOR INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - COMPANION TO BILL 8753 <br /> <br />Mayor Adams noted that this resolution was required per the zoning ordinance in <br />addition to Bill 8753, which just passed, regarding the rezoning to Planned Development <br />at 965 Midland and 7201 Balson. Ms. Colquitt moved approval and Ms. Brot seconded, <br />and the motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Adams said he wanted the minutes to reflect his and the City's congratulations to <br />Ms. Yolanda Williams upon completion of her degree of Master of Arts in Public <br />Administration. <br /> <br />Ms. Colquitt said Jay Bordeau, formerly of Charter Communications, should be thanked <br />for his great assistance to her and the City. She would like for a letter to be sent to him <br />to this regard. <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch said she appreciated the appointments made to CALOP this evening and <br />reminded Councilmembers that a variety of skills are needed per the Ordinance. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe complimented Ms. Forsythe for her ability to read legislative dockets so well. <br />He also wanted to share some pins with the Council but failed to bring them this <br />evening, so he will have them distributed in the packet. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />Mayor Adams asked for a motion to suspend the regular session to move into executive <br />session in approximately five minutes to deal with RSMo 610.021 (3 and 1) personnel <br />and legal matters. He then advised the audience that if anyone was leaving, the next <br />Regular Meeting of the Council would be held on Monday, January 31, 2005 at 6:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch moved and Ms. Colquitt seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch asked if the executive session would be conducted on the Second Floor <br />and if at the end of that, the Council would return to the Council Chambers and Mayor <br />Adams advised the meetings could both be completed in the conference room. Mr. <br />Ollendorff said there were five items on the Executive Session agenda and he hoped <br />that two of those could be agreed upon so that if the Council needed, they could move <br />back into open session to add a bill to the legislative docket.
