Session 1724, Minutes <br />May ~8, 1998 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends accepting Corvera's bid of $7,065. Costs will be assessed <br />against the property. <br /> <br />¢¢2 - Painting, Lead Abatement and Replacement of Deteriorated Decking for Fire <br />Escape: Invitations to Bid were sent to five companies for subject requirement. The <br />following bids were received: <br /> <br />Jos. Ward Painting Co. <br />Thomas Industrial Coatings <br />Environmental Control <br /> <br />$32,389.00 <br />$39,200.00 <br />$89,993.00 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends the bid be awarded to Jos. Ward Painting Co. for their low <br />bid of $32,389.00. Payment will be from prior year reserves. <br /> <br />#3 - Photo Card Identification System - Ribbons, Overlays and Clips: Invitations to Bid <br />were issued for subject requirement for the Parks Department. $10,462.50 was <br />budgeted for this purchase. Four vendors were invited to respond. The response is as <br />follows: <br /> <br />P&L Products <br /> <br />$10,450.00 <br /> <br />* No minority or female businesses in this category <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends purchasing these items from P&L Products for their bid of <br />$10,450.00. This vendor is the manufacturer of our I.D. system and has provided the <br />above materials at competitive pricing in the past. <br /> <br />~ - Playground Equipment for Lewis Park: Bids have been received to provide new <br />playground equipment for Lewis Park. An estimate of $7,500 was submitted by the <br />Parks Department. Five recreational equipment companies were invited to compete. <br />Two bids were received. The results were as follows: <br /> <br />Roger Hutchinson <br />Fry & Associates <br /> <br />$7,436.00 <br />$8,575.00 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends that award of this bid be made to Roger J. Hutchinson for <br />their low bid price of $7,436.00. Funds are available from another project completed <br />below budget. <br /> <br />#5 - Relighting of Municipal Parking Lot ~4: the tabulation of bid proposal for the above <br />named project is as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
