Session 1947

MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL

January 31, 2005

At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers,
on Monday, January 31, 2005, Mayor Joseph Adams called the meeting to order at 6:30
P.M. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of Council were present:

Ms. Cassandra Colquitt
Ms. Francine Brungardt
Mr. Robert Wagner
Ms. Stefany Brot
Ms. Shelley Welsch
Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr.

Also present was the City Manager, Frank Ollendorff.

MINUTES

Mr. Sharpe moved adoption of the minutes of the January 10, 2005 regular meeting and
Ms. Brot seconded. Ms. Brot noted corrections she had asked to be made to these
minutes which related to the seating for the Coldstone Creamery. In the minutes it read
parking spaces would be removed, but it should have read that chairs were to be
removed because the ratio was not correct. With those corrections the minutes were
approved unanimously.

APPOINTMENTS / REAPPOINTMENTS

Ms. Brot moved to appoint Eric Friedman, 7010 Waterman Avenue, to a new position on
the CALOP Commission for a term ending September 9, 2007 and Ms. Welsch
seconded the motion. Mayor Adams commented that he had extreme reservations
about this appointment which he had communicated to Ms. Brot and that he would vote
NAY on this appointment. The motion carried with five AYE votes and two NAY votes:
one from Mayor Adams and one from Ms. Colquitt.

OATH OF OFFICE

Patricia Merritt, 6558 Corbitt Avenue, took the oath of office to serve on the CALOP
Commission for a first term ending September 9, 2007.

Jonathan Galloway, 761 Heman Avenue, Apartment 3N, took the oath of office to serve
on the CALOP Commission for an unexpired term ending September 9, 2007.
