Price <br />Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br />Mrs. Mary V. Schuman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoaner <br />Mrs. Betty L. 'Ihanpson <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollemorff. <br /> <br />MINUI'ES <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved awroval of the November 4, 1991, minutes as submitted. Mr. <br />Adams secorrled the llDtion, which carried unaniloously. <br /> <br />APFOINIMENT <br /> <br />Mrs. '!hornpson rnoved that Mr. James W. Richardson, 1539 Jackson, be appointed <br />to the Library Board for a term expiring June 30, 1994. Mr. Schoomer secorrl- <br />ed the motion, am all voted Aye. Mr. Richardson was present, am Mayor Ma- <br />jerus thanked him for volunteerin:j his service, adclin:J that the Library is <br />one of University City's IOOSt iIrpJrtant assets. <br /> <br />CI'IY MANAGER I S REroRI'S <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF BILS FOR REFURBISHING #2612 IADDER TRUCK <br /> <br />'!he City Manager said invitations to bid on refurbishing the electrical sys- <br />tem aml:xxiy of ladder Truck #2612 were sent to nine conpani.es, with the fol- <br />lowing response: <br /> <br />Emerge-A-Star (1/3 female-a.vned) <br />Degel Truck Center <br />A.L.S. <br /> <br />$26,865.00 <br />48,876.39 <br />54,585.00 <br /> <br />Acceptance of the Emerge-A-Star bid of $26,865 was rec:::anrtaXled. <br />Mr. Adams rnoved approval, with Mr. Wagner secorrlin::J the IrOtion. <br /> <br />Noting the large difference in bids, Mr. Adams asked if Emerge-A-Star has <br />done this type of work previously. Mr. Ollemorff replied affirmatively am <br />said they have also worked on the city's rescue truck arrl ambulances. <br /> <br />'!he motion carried unaniroously. <br />
