<br />SESSION 1556 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF 'mE UNIVERSITY CITY <XlUNCIL <br /> <br />November 4, 1991 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of university City held in the As- <br />sembly Room of City Hall on Honday, November 4, 1991, Mayor Janet Majerus <br />presided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the <br />Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Byron R. Price* <br />Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br />Mrs. Mary V. Schuman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> <br />*Mr. Price arrived at 7:40 p.m,. <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Adams moved approval of tile October 21, 1991 minutes as submitted. Mr. <br />Wagner seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AProIN'IMENTS <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved the appointment of Ms. Janice Mosby, 8756 West Kingsbury, to <br />the Municipal Conunission on Arts and letters for a tenn expiring JanuaJ::Y 2, <br />1995. Mrs. Schuman seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moverl that Ms. Keona McMuny, 1095 Ferguson, be appointed to the <br />Board of Adjustment for a tenn expiring July 7, 1996. Mr. Adams seconded the <br />motion, and all voted Aye. <br /> <br />AWARL6 CEREM:>NY - UNIVERSITY Cl"'I'Y BEAUTIFICATION a:f.1tJll'l'l'.ta:!; <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus asked Ms. Susan Hopper and Ms. Mary Ann Shaw, representing the <br />University City Beautification Conunittee, to come fo:rward. The Mayor said <br />this is the thirCl year awards will go to university City businesses that have <br />made special efforts to inq:>rovE~ their property. Ms. Hopper presented certif- <br />icates to lDng Jdm Silver Restaurant, 7380 Olive, and Designs of Distinc- <br />tion, 7700 Delmar. Restaurant representative Mr. David SWeet could not be <br />present, but Ms. Eleanor Weiss, representing Mr. Robert Davis, accepted for <br />Designs of Distinction. There was a round of applause.
