A <br />public hearin;J was sdleduled for 7:30 p.m. this date am place to entertain <br />comments on the proposed boundaries. Followin;J the hearin;J, Council may wish <br />to request an appropriate bill. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus opened the public hearin;J 7:34 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Carl cibulka, 1421 Coolidge, said he lives in one of the small areas that <br />will be in a different ward if the proposed boundaries are approved, am he <br />thanked Councilmembers Sdluman am Wagner for their past excellent represen- <br />tation. He said he looked forward to bein;J represented by CouncilmeInbers <br />'!hompson am Price. <br /> <br />'!here were no other requests to speak, am the Mayor closed the public hear- <br />in;J at 7:35 p.m. <br /> <br />roBLIC HEARING - WAIl<WAY VACATION <br /> <br />The city Manager said a public hearin;J was sdleduled for 7: 30 p.m. this date <br />am place to consider vacation of a walkway between Bartmer am Olive in the <br />6700 block. Adjacent property owners have requested this action because the <br />walkway has been misused. Followin;J the hearin;J, Council may want to request <br />that an appropria.te bill be prepared. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus opened the public hearin;J at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. will Young, 6741 Chamberlain, said there have been a great many problems <br />connected with the walkway for about five years-vandalism, littering, young <br />people congregating am bein;J boisterous. Respondin;J to Mr. Adams, Mr. Young <br />said he will fence the portion he receives if the City vacates the property. <br /> <br />Ms. Lillie Cole, 6736 Bartmer, said she wants the walkway vacated to adjacent <br />property owners in order to protect her property am to stop the theft, loud <br />noise, littering, vandalism, ard graffiti. <br />
