Ms.
Sclmeider said she am her sister (Ms. Teller) bought their home seven years
ago when the neighbo:rhood was quiet, but it now seemed much noisier, specifi-
cally from loud music, cars, unsupel:Vised children, am domestic violence.
She enumerated several recent unpleasant incidents, am said adoption of the
bill just introduced should help alleviate some of the problems. Mr. Price
clarified that this bill removes the time limitations on certain types of
noise, which should make it easier for the police to enforce the restrictions
when they are called by a resident. Mrs. '!hompson suggested that an article
appear in the U. city newspaper that describes this bill, and what its penal-
ties are. She also suggested that the police deal Irore closely with the is-
sue of unsupel:Vised children, if it seems they have been left alone.

Mr. Sanforo. Rosenfeld, 7750 wild Plum, said he too wished to SPeak on a qual-
ity of life issue about a problem he has had for the last year that greatly
disturbs his family. His property is on a comer lot, am from 10 to 40
young people gather nearly every evening on the street comer, creating a
disturbance, playing loud radios, swearing, am littering the area. He said
the youngsters are on his lawn and sometimes even on his front porch. When
he asks them to leave, he later finds acts of vandalism have been conunitted.
The police told him they would increase their patrols in the area, but the
situation is unabated, he said, am he did not know what to do.
