Discus- <br />sion ensued as to whether or not additional items should be added now or lat- <br />ter. Mr. Price asked that the City Attorney research this issue am provide <br />Council with his findings at the next meeting. Mr. Ollerxlorff asked for m:>re <br />specific direction so there is no duplication of laws already in existence. <br />Mr. Price said current laws do not seem to be working. He said police tell <br />citizens they must report that their peace is being disturbed rather than the <br />police infonning the offerxler that excessively loud noise is prohibited. Mr. <br />Schoomer asked that the City Manager provide the Council with a SUI11lllal:Y of <br />present city am County laws on the subject of noise pollution am abatement. <br />Mr. Adams asked for an explanation of how current laws are enforced. <br /> <br />Prior to the first reading of the next bill on the D:lcket (a proposed amen:l- <br />ment to the Delmar IDop Urban Renewal Plan MO R-55), Mr. SChoomer said he had <br />decided not to introduce it am preferred that it die. No one objected. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus said the next six bills have to do with yard waste, am several <br />in the audience wish to address that subject.
