MCKNIGRr '!he City Manager said an application was received from the :Il'rperial Garden Restaurant, 640 N. McKnight, to sell beer only by the drink. Although this would be the first liquor license for the applicant, he does have prior res- taurant experience. A backgrourrl check reveals nothing negative. Past Coun- cil policy has required an observation pericx:l before granting a liquor li- cense to determine if the operation is being adequately controlled; Council may wish to shorten the pericx:l in this instance since only beer is being requested, arrl the applicant is experienced.
