SESSION 1538 MINUI'ES OF '!HE UNIVERSITY' CITY <XXJNCIL March 11, 1991 At a regular meeting of the city Council of University city held in the As- sembly Room of City Hall on Monday, March 11, 1991, Mayor Janet MajenIS pre- sided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the follCMing members of the Council were present: Mr. Byron R. Price Mr. RobertG.Wagner Mrs. Mary V. Schuman Mr. Paul E. Schoc.mer Mrs. Betty L. 'Ihatpson Absent: eounciJ..menIDer Joseph L. Adams, Jr., who was out of town. Also present was city Manager Frank Ollerx:lorff. Washington University stu- dent representative Christine Mueller was absent. MINUTES Mr. Wagner moved that the minutes of February 25, 1991 be approved as submit- ted. Mr. Schoorner seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. OATHS OF OFFICE Ms. Nancy Kolllllar, recently app:>inted to the Arts and Letters Commission; Ms. carolyn Hellmuth, reapp:>inted to the Traffic Conunission; and Mr. Bennie Bon- durant, reapp:>inted to the H\1I1"al1 Relations Conunission, were given the oath of office by the city Clerk. Mayor Maj enIS thanked the new appointees for their willingness to serve the City and assist the Council in this iInportant way. CITY MANAGER I S REroRI'S SITE PIAN RF.VIE.W - 918 NORm MCKNIGHI' The City Manager recommended approval of an awlication for an ice cream shop at 918 North McKnight where hand-packed pints and quarts for home, restaurant or caterer use will be sold. There is more than adequate parking, even if the operator decides later to sell ice cream by the scoop in a restaurant setting. The follCMing condition should be attached: 1. The operator shall patrol the site daily in order to remove litter from the business for the shopping center property and surrourxling neighbor- hood. ,-- Mr. Price moved approval including the eotrli.tion. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion, which carried unanilrously.
