SESSION 1534 MINUI'FS OF rrHE UNIVERSITY CITY caJNCIL Janucn:y 7, 1991 At a regular meeting of the City Council of University city held in the As- sembly Room of City Hall on Monday, Janucn:y 7, 1991, Mayor Janet Majerus pre- sided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: Mr. Byron R. Price Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. Mr. Robert G. Wagner Mrs. Mary V. Schuman Mr. Paul E. Schoomer Absent: Councilmember Betty L. Thompson. Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. MINUl'ES Mr. Price moved approval of the December 10, 1990 minutes as submitted. Mrs. SchUJl1a11 seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. APEOINIMENTS Mr. Schoomer moved the appoinbnent of Mr. Miles Cramer, 1065 Jackson, to the Board of Trustees of the Unifonned and Non-Unifonned Employees Retirement Frmds for an unexpired tenn ending July 1, 1991. Mrs. SchUJl1a11 seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. Mr. Wagner moved the appoinbnent of Ms. Bal::Dara Ann Romero, 8354 Orchard, to the Municipal Commission on Arts and Letters for an unexpired tenn ending Januro:y 2, 1994. Mr. Adams seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. OA'IH OF OFFICE sister Margaret Marie Vitt, who was appointed to the Cormnission on Human Re- lations at the last meeting, was given the oath of office by the City Clerk. Mayor Majerus thanked Sr. vitt for agreeing to serve on this inportant com- mission. CITY MANAGER'S REroRI'S FUBLIC HEARING - ZONING AMEN'INENT The City Manager said a public hearing was scheduled for 7:30 p.m. this date and place to hear comments on the Plan Conunission recommendation to clarify that a substance abuse treabnent center may be allowed in the "PR-o" Planned Residential-office zone only as a conditional use.
