He said there
should be laws to protect the health am safety of citizens but this one made
no sense. He has no other place to park except the street, am feels the or-
dinance is discr:i1ninatory to those who use small tnlcks as personal vehicles.

Mayor Majerus said Mr. Moore is probably not aware of the long-standing con-
troversy surrourrlirg this law. She said chan;Jes are 1"lCM beirg considered by
the Plan Commission, and their recc.rmnenjations will then cane to the Council.
She invited Mr. Moore to retum when this matter is on the agerx:la again. Mr.
Moore pointed out the ordinance does not prevent tnlcks fran beirg on the
street except at night when no one is out arrJWCiy.

Mrs. Schmnan said the Plan Commission is studyirg this matter very carefully,
but they are only considerirg where a tnlck may be parked on private property.
However, what they do will undoubtedly influence Council's changes in the Mu-
nicipal Code. She pointed out it is likely that only small tnlcks will be
included in their definition of personal vehicles.

BIT J ~ FOR SECDND AND 'lHIRD READINGS

BIIL NO. 8103 (AS AMENDED) - AMENDING aIAPI'ER 21 MUNICIPAL <X>DE RElATING 'IO
KJIOR VEHIClES AND TRAFFIC BY REPEALING SECI'IOO 21-82, AND ENACI'ING IN LIEU
'IHEREX)F A NEW SECI'ION 'IO BE KNCMN AS "SECI'IOO 21-82.
