He said the awlicant has a good record in st. louis City, <br />however, this location has never had a license am the operation is scmawhat <br />different fran others the applicant has owned or managed. Starrlard Council <br />policy has been to observe a new operation for sane time before grantin;)' a <br />license, am then usually just for beer am wine. Generally, exceptions have <br />cx::curred only when experienced operators are m:JVin;)' an established restaurant <br />or adding to an existin;)' chain of similar restaurants. <br /> <br />Applicants Gal:y am ste];t1anie Schneider, 7401 I<inJsburY, came fo:rward. Mr. <br />Schneider said he realized Council has a policy of asking new applicants to <br />wait six m:>nths before approvin;)' a liquor license, but he noted his excellent <br />record in st. louis. He said IBID's main enJIilasis will be on food, but ser- <br />vice will be enhanced if drinks can be served to patrons who requested them. <br />Mrs. Schneider said m:>st University City restaurants serve liquor, am in or- <br />der to cal'pete it was iIrportant to have a liquor license. <br /> <br />In response to Mr. Adams, Mr. Schneider said he has held a liquor license for <br />11 years. <br /> <br />R.esporrlin;J to Mrs. Sdluman, Mrs. Schneider said it would be her first experi- <br />ence as a manager. <br /> <br />Mayor MajenlS preferred that IBID be in business at least two m:>nths before a <br />beer am wine license is granted, am a total of six m:>nths for a full li- <br />cense.
