<br />HAFNER PIACE BRIOOE DESIGN

<br />'!he City Manager said the Hafner bridge should be replaced with a wider am
<br />better designed one to meet future needs. '!he first step is to award an en-
<br />gineerirg design contract, am it is believed that federal furrls administered
<br />by the Missouri Highway am Transportation Department will be available for
<br />80% of the cost. It is proposed that Booker Associates be awarded the engi-
<br />neerirg services contract, subject to Council approval am state authoriza-
<br />tion. '!he cost is estimated at $34,000, with the local share to be 20%.

<br />Mr. Ollerrlorff said this project has been planned for several years. Mrs.
<br />'Ihompson said Hafner Place residents will be happy to have this new bridge.

<br />an application for a car:ry-out restaurant at 7811 Olive because of ve:ry dif-
<br />ficult driveway acx::ess am limited park:in3'. If Council approves the applica-
<br />tion it should be with corrlitions that include confo:nnin:J with the sign Code,
<br />regular litter policirg am adequate containers located at rear of buildirg,
<br />limitirg refuse collection to the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., cx:lor control ex-
<br />haust system, shieldirg park:in3' lot lightirg fran adjacent residents, hours
<br />of operation 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., am limitation of use pennit to the present
<br />applicant for the specific car:ry-out restaurant proposal.

<br />Mr. Steve Olu, operator, am Mr. Ken Yeung, speaking for Mr. Olu, came for-
<br />ward. In response to Mrs. '!hanpson, Mr. Yeung said Mr. Olu would canply with
<br />all requirements, but could not control the park:in3' corrlitions. Mayor Majer-
<br />us clarified that other tenants use the park:in3' lot.

<br />Mrs. June Goldman, 1215 Mt. Olive, said she lives behi.rrl the proposed restau-
<br />rant, am the park:in3' lot referred to is used by patrons of Mt. Olive Tavern.
