Mayor Majen1S said it would benefit businesses to help in this program since they not only get a tax deduction but also ga.D1er positive publicity. Mr. Ollerrlorff p::>inted out that no one has yet appealed to City businesses to help get this program started. Mayor Majen1S said if the city starts the program, the businesses will look on it as a City program am feel no obligation to make it a success. She suggested tryinl to get the businesses involved first, then look at the program midyear to see how it is doinl. Mrs. 'lharpson disagreed am said the City could af- ford to put in seed Ironey. Mr. Wagner felt Mrs. Schuman's idea was excellent am moved that the City allocate up to $1,000 to be used as match:in1 funds. Mrs. 'lhonp;on secorded the notion.
