Mrs. '!hompson agreed, <br />ad~ that it was everyone's responsibility to nonitor the graffiti situa- <br />tion and report suspicious activity immediately. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schtnnan asked council1ooIribers to be certain to read correspon:lence from <br />the Park Canmission about a FGA golf course management certification trainee <br />plan for minorities and women living in University City. She said the Park <br />Conunission is very excited about this proposal, which would be furrled by a <br />small increase in the non-resident golf fee. Mr. Schoaner suggested that the <br />proposed furrling dlaI'ge be included in the 1992-93 budget. <br /> <br />Mrs. 'lhornpson asked Mr. Ollerrlorff what he inte.rxied to do about the situation <br />on Mt. Olive described earlier by Ms. Allen. '!he City Manager said city or- <br />dinances will be enforced and the owner will be required to clean up his <br />property. Ms. Allen retw:ned to the micrqi10ne and said she didn't believe <br />anyone present would want to live next door to such a mess. Mr. Price asked <br />if it was correct that the City could step in and clean up the property if <br />the owner refused to do so, and Mr. Ollerrlorff said in certain circumstances <br />that could be done and the owner would be sent a bill. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro 'I'eJn Adams said the National league of cities will hold a press con- <br />ference tomerreM' instructing the Congress and Executive Branch that the need <br />to invest in American cities, most of which are having severe economic prob- <br />lems, is at least as pressing as the needs of foreign countries. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer urged those present to vote in tomerreM" selection. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Mayor Pro 'I'eJn Adams adjourned. the meeting at 8:25 p.m. <br /> <br />
