Session 1726, Minutes June 29, 1998 CITIZEN COMMENTS: Jim Salarano, 12711 Spanish Village Drive, Bridgeton, said that he was unhappy that the Lion's have to pay thirty dollars for a peddler's license fee. They do not know how to fill it out, because they are not peddlers and not a not-for-profit operation. Other questions are not clear, as well. Mr. Ollendorff said that if he would come by his office the next day, he would help Mr. Salarano fill out the application. CITY CLERK'S DOCKET: RESOLUTION: Mayor Adams described the Resolution describing the Neighborhood Improvement District and project description and status of project to date. Mr. Schoomer moved approval of the resolution. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD READINGS: BILL NO. 8388 - FIXING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO CITY OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES AS ENUMERATED HEREIN AND FROM AND AFTER JUNE 24, 1998 REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 6107. The bill was given its second reading. The bill was given its third reading. Mr. Wagner moved adoption. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion. AYES: Ms. Colquitt, Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe, Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. Bill Number 8388 became Ordinance Number 6170. BILL NO. 8389 - AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, BY REPEALING SECTION 21-82 THEREOF, RELATING TO STOP INTERSECTIONS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 21-82". STOP INTERSECTIONS -- VEHICLES TO STOP AT CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS," THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO ESTABLISH STOP SIGNS ON JULIAN AVENUE AT PURCELL AVENUE, AND ON LOOP SOUTH 19 FEET WEST OF LELAND AVENUE; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
