Session 1726, Minutes <br />June 29, 1998 <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS: <br /> <br />Jim Salarano, 12711 Spanish Village Drive, Bridgeton, said that he was unhappy that <br />the Lion's have to pay thirty dollars for a peddler's license fee. They do not know how <br />to fill it out, because they are not peddlers and not a not-for-profit operation. Other <br />questions are not clear, as well. Mr. Ollendorff said that if he would come by his office <br />the next day, he would help Mr. Salarano fill out the application. <br /> <br />CITY CLERK'S DOCKET: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams described the Resolution describing the Neighborhood Improvement <br />District and project description and status of project to date. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved approval of the resolution. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, <br />which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD READINGS: <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8388 - FIXING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO CITY OFFICIALS <br />AND EMPLOYEES AS ENUMERATED HEREIN AND FROM AND AFTER JUNE 24, <br />1998 REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 6107. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved adoption. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion. AYES: Ms. <br />Colquitt, Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe, Mayor Adams. NAYS: <br />none. Bill Number 8388 became Ordinance Number 6170. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8389 - AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING <br />TO MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, BY REPEALING SECTION 21-82 THEREOF, <br />RELATING TO STOP INTERSECTIONS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW <br />SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 21-82". STOP INTERSECTIONS -- <br />VEHICLES TO STOP AT CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS," THEREBY AMENDING SAID <br />SECTION SO AS TO ESTABLISH STOP SIGNS ON JULIAN AVENUE AT PURCELL <br />AVENUE, AND ON LOOP SOUTH 19 FEET WEST OF LELAND AVENUE; <br />CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br /> <br />
