Session 1726, Minutes <br />June 29, 1998 <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff concurs with the Plan Commission recommendation that this <br />condominium conversion be approved. The plat meets all requirements of City <br />ordinances. This is an existing duplex which is being split into two condominium units. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel moved approval. Mr. Sharpe seconded the motion, which carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA #5: PUBLIC HEARING - DELCREST COURT IMPROVEMENTS: <br /> <br />A public hearing has been scheduled for this time and place to consider the <br />improvement of Delcrest Court and award a contract for this work. Bids have been <br />received and tabulated as follows: <br /> <br />Southard Construction <br />County Asphalt Paving Co. <br />Sunrise Inc. <br />L. Keeley Construction Co. <br />Maryon Industries Inc. <br />L. Krupp Construction <br /> <br />$32,515.00 <br />$33,379.60 <br />$34,302.50 <br />$38,296.00 <br />$39,017.33 <br />$41,497.50 <br /> <br />Engineer's Estimate <br /> <br />$35,628.75 <br /> <br />Funding for this project is from special tax bills to be issued to adjacent property <br />owners. Mr. Ollendorff recommends approval of an ordinance stating that this project <br />be awarded to Southard Construction Co. Inc. for their low bid of $32,515.00. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br />Being that there was not any requests to speak, Mayor Adams closed the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />AGENDA #6- STREET IMPROVEMENTS - UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS IMPROVEMENT <br />DISTRICT: <br /> <br />A public hearing has been scheduled for this time and place to consider the proposed <br />improvements to streets in University Heights #1 Subdivision. Improvements were <br />proposed by a petition received and accepted by the City Council from a majority of the <br />property owners in this neighborhood. The full cost of the improvements will be paid to <br />the City by the owners of property benefitting from the proposed work. The tabulation <br />of bid proposals is as follows: <br /> <br />Southard Construction $443,503.75 <br /> <br /> <br />
