MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL and PLAN <br /> COMMISSION <br /> <br />JUNE 22, 1998 <br /> <br />At a special meeting of the University City City Council and the Plan Commission held <br />in the E.O.C. room of City Hall on Monday, June 22, 1998, Mayor Joseph L. Adams <br />called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br />Mr. Wayne Munkel <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Mr. Paul Schoomer <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br />Mr. Larry Lieberman (teleconferenced) <br /> <br />Plan Commission members present: <br /> <br />EXCUSED ABSENCE: <br /> <br />Chairperson John Solodar <br />Ms. Mudel Peniston <br />Ms. Susan Glassman <br />Mr. Byron Price (arrived at 8:20 p.m.) <br />Mr. Larry Self <br />One vacancy <br />Mr. Helton Reed <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff and Planning Director Lehman Walker. <br /> <br />The only subject discussed was the update of the 1986 Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff explained that this meeting was needed in order to get some direction <br />from both the Council and the Plan Commission in the manner in which to proceed with <br />the update of the Comprehensive Plan. It is understood that the specifics will only <br />come after citizen input, study and analysis. <br /> <br />Mr. Walker said that he had hired a planning intern from the University of Illinois which <br />will start work tomorrow. He will help update the demographic information. He will stay <br />until the end of the summer. <br /> <br /> <br />
