Session 1973 MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL June 6, 2005 At a Regular Meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers, on Monday, June 6, 2005, Mayor Joseph Adams called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of Council were present: Ms. Cassandra Colquitt Ms. Francine Brungardt Mr. Robert Wagner Ms. Stefany Brot Ms. Shelley Welsch Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. Also present was the City Manager, Frank Ollendorff. MINUTES: Mr. Wagner moved approval of the May 9, 2005 budget study session minutes. Mr. Sharpe seconded. Ms. Welsch moved approval with amendments, which were earlier submitted to the City Clerk. Ms. Brot seconded, which carried unanimously. Mr. Sharpe moved approval of the May 11, 2005 budget study session minutes, as amended. Ms. Brungardt seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. Ms. Welsch moved approval of the May 18, 2005 budget study session minutes as submitted. Ms. Brot seconded, which carried unanimously. RESOLUTION – SOUTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE EASEMENT: Mayor said that this resolution deals with granting a permanent easement to Southwestern Bell Telephone at the northwest corner of Kingsland and Olive for the purpose of upgrading their equipment to eliminate some of the service problems being experienced by residents in the area. Ms. Colquitt moved approval. Mr. Wagner seconded, which carried unanimously. RESOLUTION – SETTING AN UNDESIGNATED FUND BALANCE OF 17%: Mayor Adams explained that this resolution is recommendation and approval of the City Council to set the undesignated general fund balance of at least 17% of the budgeted general fund expenditures for the ensuing fiscal year, beginning July 1, 2005.
