VERN MOORE’S RETIREMENT: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams said that this proclamation honors Dr. Moore’s service to the University <br />City School District in light of his upcoming retirement. <br /> <br />Ms. Colquitt moved approval. Ms. Brungardt seconded the motion, which carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #1 – The Consent Calendar: <br /> <br />Item #1 - Bus Services – Summer Playground and Teen Activities Program <br /> <br />Bids for providing bus services for the Parks and Recreation 2005 Summer Playground <br />and Teen Activities Programs have been received. Invitations to Bid were sent to four <br />possible sources with the following results: <br /> <br />Hourly Rate Bus Capacity Total <br /> <br />First Student <br />(formerly Ryder Transportation Services) .................$45.00 84 $36,214 <br /> <br />The bid from First Student was the only bid received. The hourly rate bid last year was <br />$43.00 per hour. The Parks Department stated that First Student provided excellent <br />service in the past and requests that the award be made to First Student for an <br />estimated amount of $36,214. <br /> <br />Item #2: Communication Equipment Annual Maintenance for Police, Fire and Central <br />Garage <br /> <br />Invitations to Bid were issued for subject requirement for fiscal year 2005-2006. The <br />following bids were received: <br /> <br />St. Louis Electronic....................................$17,807.40 <br />Warner Communications..............................$14,476.00 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends making an award to Warner Communications for their low bid of <br />$14,476. <br /> <br />Item #3: Ambulance Bids <br /> <br />Two bids were received for ambulance budgeted at $150,000.
