Regular meeting <br />June 6, 2005 <br /> <br />continue to move ever forward. <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch said that Ms. Roach will be the non-voting technical liaison from Charter <br />Communications. She conveyed her appreciation to Ms. Roach for stepping up to take <br />this position. <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS: <br /> <br />Terry White, 6924 Bartmer, came forward to complain about sensitive information being <br />sent from the assistant city manager’s office with the wrong address. <br /> <br />Cara Spencer, 1237 Meyer, came this evening to request that the City Council look into <br />making the sidewalks on Olive, north of Heman Park, bicycle accessible, as well as the <br />sidewalks all along Olive that way west, and going east going on to Skinker. They are <br />not handicapped and bike accessible. Mayor Adams requested that the City Manager <br />look into adding resources for this in the budget. Ms. Welsch stated that she had been <br />riding on Olive, with her daughter, a week or so ago and realized for the first time that <br />the driveways were not accessible. She walks there all the time and she hadn’t paid <br />attention until she was on a bike with a seven year old. <br /> <br />LEGISLATIVE DOCKET: - BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD READING: <br /> <br />1. The Roll Call vote <br />was as follows: AYES: Ms. Colquitt, Ms. Brungardt, Mr. Wagner, Ms. Brot, Ms. Welsch, <br />Mr. Sharpe and Mayor Adams; NAYS: none. Bill number 8785 passed and became <br />Ordinance number 6555. <br /> <br />2. BILL NO. 8786 - AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE, SALE AND <br />DELIVERY OF $2,000,000 PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF GENERAL OBLIGATION <br />BONDS, SERIES 2005, OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI; <br />PRESCRIBING THE FORM AND DETAILS OF SAID BONDS; PROVIDING FOR <br />THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF AN ANNUAL TAX FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />PAYING THE PRINCIPAL OF AND INTEREST ON SAID BONDS AS THEY <br />BECOME DUE; AND AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OTHER DOCUMENTS AND <br />ACTIONS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />
