Regular meeting
June 27, 2005

pavers would help the environment immensely. She supports the removal of asphalt in
U. City.

Ms. Brungardt wished to convey her appreciation to the firefighters that work out of that
station currently and wished them to know that the Council is looking forward to
providing them with a station that they deserve to work in.

Ms. Brot said that she bragged about University City being a leader in having LEED
certification on a recent trip to San Francisco. She is very glad that the city manager is
recommending keeping it in.

The motion to approve carried unanimously.

AGENDA # 6 - Liquor License – 8400 Delmar

Mr. Ollendorff recommends approval of license for sale of beer and wine by the drink at
Shmeers, LLC, since all ordinance requirements and Council policies appear to have
been met, including an observation period during which no problems have surfaced.

Ms. Welsch moved approval. Ms. Brot seconded the motion, which carried
unanimously.

REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR 6855-6857 PLYMOUTH

The City Council is required to have a public hearing on a redevelopment plan for an
apartment building on Plymouth that was recently rehabbed in order to provide tax
abatement. That public hearing was duly advertised for tonight. It did not get on the
agenda. The attorneys have asked him to announce that the public hearing advertised
th
for tonight has been rescheduled to tomorrow, Tuesday, June 28 at 4:30 p.m. in the
Council Chambers. This will avoid a three week delay in the approval process.

Mr. Wagner asked the Mayor to query the audience for anyone that may have come to
make comments on this public hearing. The Mayor made the query and no one was
here to make comment.

CITIZEN COMMENTS:

None.

LEGISLATIVE DOCKET: - BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD READING:

1. BILL NO. 8790 - APPROVING A FINAL SUBDIVISION PLAT OF A TRACT OF
LAND TO BE KNOWN AS 7618-20 DELMAR CONDOMINIUMS AND LOCATED
AT 7618-20 DELMAR.
Page 10
