Regular meeting <br />June 27, 2005 <br /> <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS: <br /> <br />Ms. Brungardt appointed Ms. Emily Kelly, 8040 Cornell, to the Arts and Letters <br />Commission for an unexpired term ending January 2, 2008. Mr. Sharpe seconded the <br />appointment, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Ms. Colquitt appointed Ms. Barbara Santoro, 514 Midvale, to the Arts and Letters <br />Commission for a term ending for January 2, 2009. Mr. Wagner seconded the <br />appointment, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION – CLIMATE PROTECTION AGREEMENT: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams said that he had a resolution prepared that was on Council’s desks this <br />evening regarding climate protection. He said that the U.S. Conference of Mayors has <br />proposed a resolution that a number of cities have adopted which supports the Kyoto <br />Protocol. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval. Ms. Welsch seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch appreciated the Mayor bringing this to the Council for University City and <br />she hopes will go on record with this. Mayor Adams said that we definitely will. <br /> <br />The motion to adopt carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #1 – The Consent Calendar: <br /> <br />Consent Calendar Item #4 was removed for further discussion. <br /> <br />#1 - Ackert Walkway Light Replacement <br /> <br />Bids have been received for replacing lights on Ackert Walkway as follows: <br /> <br /> Vendor Bid Price <br /> Challenge Electric $3,675/each <br /> Castle Contracting $4,583/each <br /> Bell Electric $5,175/each <br /> TGB Inc. $6,346/each <br /> Sachs Electric $9,250/each <br /> <br />Adequate funds have been budgeted to contract for replacement of seven (7) lights with <br />Challenge Electric in the total amount of $25,724. <br /> <br />#2 - Annual Order-Uniform Rental Program <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />
