Other findings of the study showed corporate culture, meaning it was always done that <br />way, and very little technical training was provided to the mechanics. <br />Recommendations were: <br /> Create Service Level Agreement, (SLA) with customers <br /> Add parts clerk/administrative clerk <br /> Reclassify one mechanic position to lead mechanic <br /> Switch focus of fleet program to preventive maintenance <br /> Collect, manage and produce reports – <br /> Fleet availability <br /> Average repair turn-around time <br /> Direct labor hours <br /> Comebacks <br /> PM compliance rate <br /> Schedule vs non-scheduled work <br /> Incorporate technician training, ASE incentive program <br /> Fleet utilization, requiring meter input on ALL fuel transactions <br /> Conduct fleet rightsizing study <br /> Fleet replacement by developing a formal 20 year strategic fleet replacement plan <br /> Internally develop service-based charge-back rates to impact user behavior (i.e. <br />accidents/abuse) <br /> Facilities, develop fleet operation space requirements and facilities Master Plan. <br />Need to consider impact of other operating departments/divisions. <br />When asked, what the top three recommendations were, Mr. Yankovich listed the <br />following: <br />1. Fleet Information System up and running <br />2. Preventative Maintenance <br />3.
