<br />Council Agenda Item Cover <br />___________________________________________________________ <br /> June 15, 2009 <br />MEETING DATE: <br /> Delmar Streetscape Improvements Phase 2 <br />AGENDA ITEM TITLE: <br /> Consent <br />AGENDA SECTION: <br />NO <br />CAN THIS ITEM BE RESCHEDULED? : <br />BACKGROUND REVIEW: <br />The Delmar Streetscape Project Phase I included installation of 92 decorative <br />streetlights, 10 electrical receptacles and installation of 68 new trees. <br />The Delmar Streetscape Project Phase II includes installation of iron tree grates to <br />surround the 68 newly planted trees, brackets for the decorative light poles and <br />sidewalk repairs. <br />The Missouri Department of Transportation requires that the City execute the <br />attached “Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission Transportation <br />enhancement Funds Program Agreement” between The Federal Highway <br />Administration, Department of Transportation and the City of University City. <br />The total project cost is $ 340,000. The federal share is $ 265,200 (78%). The City’s <br />Share is $ 74,800. The City’s share is funded by the Economic Development Sales <br />Tax Fund. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />It is the recommendation of the Public Works Department that the attached <br />ordinance be approved by the City <br /> <br />
