Brooms, dustpans and trash bags will be provided to the teens. <br />Their cool t-shirts were paid for with private donations. <br />th <br />U City in Bloom <br />On Sunday, September 13, in conjunction with the Historical Society <br />Garden Tour“Lions in the <br />of University City, will hold its first annual entitled <br />Gardens <br />”. The magnificent life-sized lions that have been with us since June will move <br />from their current locations to the gardens that will be on tour. The lions themselves will <br />be auctioned off at a Gala on Saturday, October 10 at City Hall, which is being <br />sponsored by the Parks Foundation. Proceeds from the sale of the lions, will go toward <br />an inspection and maintenance fund for our two permanent Lions. Unfortunately, <br />because of the lack of funding the birthday party originally planned had to be cancelled. <br />Puppy Pool PartyLions Vintage Base Ball tournament <br />But all is not lost, the , the at <br />Jack Buck Field (on Saturday, September 12) and the Garden Tour (September 13) is <br />birthday card <br />still on tract. In addition, you can visit City Hall and see the wonderful <br />banners <br /> received from 13 of our neighboring cities wishing our Lions a happy 100th! <br />rd <br />Community Flea Market and Outdoor Yard Sale <br />The 3 annual will be held on <br />Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Heman Park Pool <br />Parking Lot. In the event of rain, the sale will be moved to the Heman Park Community <br />Center. As in previous years, spaces will first be offered to community and <br />neighborhood organizations and then to individuals on a first come first serve basis. <br />This year, individuals must submit also submit a $40 refundable deposit. Space is <br />limited and reservations are required. An application and flyer is attached. Applications <br />th <br />must be submitted by September 11 and are accepted via mail, drop off on the 4 floor <br />of City Hall or e-mail.
