Recently CALOP started a new education program to support the community and our
high school students, with two grants totaling $30,000. The grants included Webster
College professors as part of the program teaching our high school students and their
teachers about producing video and media literacy. We are now exploring new ways to
support our community and are exploring programs on recycling and greening our city
through the reduction of trash and the increasing of recycling, thereby also reducing the
cost to the community. We believe we will be exploring other green, community
supportive and development projects. This model could be used in other communities
around the country.
If this sounds interesting and you are interested in film consider being a volunteer intern
for CALOP.
