<br />Session 1978 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />August 8, 2005 <br /> <br />At a Regular Meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council <br />Chambers, on Monday, August 8, 2005, Mayor Joseph Adams called the meeting to <br />order at 6:30 P.M. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of Council were <br />present: <br /> Ms. Cassandra Colquitt, in-route <br /> Ms. Francine Brungardt <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Ms. Stefany Brot <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br />Ms. Welsch was excused. <br /> <br />Also present was the City Manager, Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams explained to the citizens present, that the appearance pf Council <br />Chambers was due to the renovation work in progress. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams asked if Adelia Parker-Castro was in the audience tonight for her <br />swearing in to the Arts and Letters Commission. She was not present. <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #1 – The Consent Calendar: <br /> <br />#1 – Picnic Beer License – Shaare Zedek Synagogue <br /> Beer sale for special celebration at synagogue at 829 N. Hanley on August 28. <br /> <br />#2 – Reconstruction of Alley South of 6600 Washington Ave. <br />Bids for re-building of alley adjacent to 6600 Washington. Washington University <br />has agreed to pay half the cost. Lowest bidder was R.V. Wagner, Inc for <br />$55,700. <br /> <br />#3 – Asphalt Overlay at Various Locations <br />Bids to provide asphalt overlay at various locations was awarded to lowest bidder, <br />America’s Construction for $192.035.00. <br /> <br />
