SESSION 1683 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> November 18, 1996 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chamber of City Hall on <br />Monday, November 18, 1996, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addi- <br />tion to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Hardy Ware <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br />Mr. Lawrence Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />No minutes were ready for approval because the City Clerk was out of the City on vacation. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER' S REPORTS <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR (EIGHT ITEMS) <br /> <br />Baseball and Softball Backstops (#1). Invitations to bid on providing four baseball backstops and one <br />softball backstop to be installed in Fogerty, Millar, and Greensfelder Parks were sent to seven suppliers, <br />with the following response: <br /> <br />Miracle Recreation <br />Bergfeld Recreation <br />Reese Recreation (female owned) <br /> <br />$19,286 <br />$13,606 <br />$11,358 <br /> <br />Acceptance of Reese Recreation' s low bid of $11,358 was recommended. <br /> <br />Pick-up Trucks (#2). Invitations to bid on four GMC pick-up trucks for the Central Garage, including <br />trade-in on three city trucks, were sent to five companies, with the following results: <br /> <br /> Feld Chevrolet Butler Chevrolet <br />Cost $73,644 $75,120 <br />Less Trade-in - $18.224 - $13.500 <br />Grand Total $55,420 $61,620 <br /> <br /> <br />
