<br />Joan Botwanick, 511 Westview <br />Ms. Botwanick stated the allocation of CDBG money needed more transparency. <br />She would like to see citizens have more input of where to allocate the block grant <br />money. <br /> <br />H. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />1. <br />Annual Order for Police Uniforms <br />Award was given to the only bidder, Leon Uniform for up to the amount of <br />$27,841.19. Ms. Feier stated that only ten percent of the items increased by two <br />percent in this contract. <br />Mr. Price moved to accept the bid and was seconded by Mr. Sharpe. <br />Ms. Ricci followed up on previous comments she has made. She felt the City <br />was not throwing a wide enough net to obtain bids. Ms. Ricci stated that Leon <br />Uniform has been the winning bidder for the last several years. She listed five <br />other companies she came up with a quick search which could have had a <br />request for a bid sent to them giving the City a better opportunity to receive the <br />most competitive bid. <br /> <br />Mr. Crow asked Ms Feier if this bid was at or below the budgeted amount and <br />Ms. Feier said it was. <br /> <br /> <br />The Council unanimously accepted the bid from Leon Uniform. <br /> <br />2. <br />Construct Concrete Paths at Ruth Park Golf Course <br />The contract was awarded to lowest bidder, Tom Adair Construction for $49,500. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved for approval, seconded by Mr. Sharpe and was unanimously <br />approved. <br /> <br />3. <br />Asphalt Crack Sealing Melter-Applicator <br />Bid was awarded to lowest bidder, Clayco Midwest Co. for $40,874. The smaller <br /> <br />unit will provide capacity to handle the City’s street crack sealing each season. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved for approval and was seconded by Mr. Sharpe. <br /> <br />Mr. Crow asked if it were at or below budget and City Manager stated it was at <br /> <br />amount budgeted. <br /> <br />Ms. Ricci stated that competitive bidding is good for the City and therefore bids <br />should be widely published. <br /> <br /> <br />The Council unanimously accepted the bid from Clayco Midwest Co. <br /> <br />4. <br />IT Network Back-Up System <br />This was for expansion of network access storage unit for expanding the volume <br />of data to be stored. It was awarded to lowest bidder, I.T. Storage Solutions, for <br />$31,011. <br />Mr. Sharpe moved for approval to accept and was seconded by Mr. Wagner. <br /> <br />Mr. Crow asked if it were at or below the budgeted amount and the City Manager <br />stated it was at the amount budgeted. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
