Saturday, October 10 at 7 PM the Parks Foundation, the Historical Society of University celebrationof the 100 Year City and the City will host an evening at City Hall in Birthday of the Lions at the Gates of Opportunity in the Civic Plaza. At the party, the “Roaring Lions of University City” will be auctioned off to establish a permanent fund for the care and maintenance of the Lion’s Gates. The search light will be lit in honor of the Lions. Tickets are $25 for the party, which will include entertainment, food, and an opportunity to meet the artists who decorated the lions and see the birthday banner cards from area cities.
