SESSION 1682 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> November 4, 1996 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chamber of City Hall on <br />Monday, November 4, 1996, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addi- <br />tion to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Hardy Ware <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Lawrence Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> <br />Absent: Councilmember Robert G. Wagner, who was excused. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel moved approval of the October 21, 1996, minutes as submitted. Mrs. Thompson seconded <br />the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT <br /> <br />Mayor Adams moved the appointment of Ms. Joanne Ferrante, 7317 Stanford, to the Industrial Develop- <br />ment Authority for a term expiring August 27, 1999. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion, which carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />Mayor Adams called attention to a resolution in which the City Council deems it necessary to improve <br />parking facilities at 6319 Delmar Boulevard. Mr. Schoomer moved approval. Mr. Munkel seconded <br />the motion, which carried unanimously. A copy of the resolution will be attached to the permanent <br />minutes. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />Mayor Adams noted a proclamation suggested by the U.S. Conference of Mayors which designates <br />Thursday, November 21, 1996, as Education Day in University City. Mayor Adams said other activities <br />were being planned with the School District for this event, and he invited councilmembers to join him <br />in taking part. A copy of the proclamation will be attached to the permanent minutes. <br /> <br /> <br />
