SESSION 1679 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> September 30, 1996 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chamber of City Hall on <br />Monday, September 30, 1996, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addi- <br />tion to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Hardy Ware <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br />Mr. Lawrence Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />September 9, 1996 <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the minutes of the regular meeting held September 9, 1996, as submit- <br />ted. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, and all voted Aye. <br /> <br />September 21, 1996 <br />Mr. Schoomer moved approval of the minutes of the special meeting held September 21, 1996, as sub- <br />mitted. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Adams moved the appointments and expiration dates of the following members of the newly <br />formed Parkview Gardens Special Business District Advisory Commission: Mr. Tom Goodman, 6601 <br />Vernon (Oct. 21, 1997); Ms. Teresa Kragness, 6627 Clemens (Oct. 21, 1998); Mr. Mike Giger, 830 <br />Vanderbilt (Oct. 21, 1999); Mr. Dan Wald, 6490 Enright (Oct. 21, 1998); and Mr. Dennis Lutsky, 25 <br />Southmoor (Oct. 21, 1999). Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion, and all voted Aye. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION HONORING UNIVERSITY CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />State Representative Sheila Lumpe presented a resolution from the Missouri House of Representatives <br />which honors the University City Police Department on gaining national accreditation. Mayor Adams <br />noted that this program took a great deal of work, time, and effort by the department, which is one of <br />only three in the entire metropolitan area to complete the necessary requirements to gain this coveted <br />distinction. <br /> <br /> <br />
