Session 1679, Minutes <br />September 30, 1996 <br /> <br />Page 18 <br /> <br />A bill was introduced by Councilmember Ware, entitled: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE GRANTING, SELLING, AND CONVEYING TO THE METROPOLITAN ST. <br />LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT A SUBTERRANEAN CYLINDRICAL EASEMENT IN LOTS 28, 29, <br />AND 30 OF BLOCK 7 OF NORTH PARKVIEW SUBDIVISION AND PART OF BLOCK 3 OF <br />ROSEDALE SUBDIVISION IN UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI." <br /> <br />The bill was assigned No. 8293 and given its first reading. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8294 - GRANTING, SELLING, AND CONVEYING TO THE METROPOLITAN ST. <br />LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT A SUBTERRANEAN EASEMENT IN LOTS 32 AND 33 OF BLOCK <br />7 OF NORTH PARKVIEW SUBDIVISION AND PART OF BLOCK 3 OF ROSEDALE SUBDIVI- <br />SION. <br />A bill was introduced by Councilmember Munkel, entitled: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE GRANTING, SELLING, AND CONVEYING TO THE METROPOLITAN ST. <br />LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT A SUBTERRANEAN CYLINDRICAL EASEMENT IN LOTS 32 AND <br />33 OF BLOCK 7 OF NORTH PARKVIEW SUBDIVISION AND PART OF BLOCK 3 OF ROSE- <br />DALE SUBDIVISION IN UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI." <br /> <br />The bill was assigned No. 8294 and given its first reading. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner, recalling a earlier discussion about false alarms disturbing neighborhoods, said the law was <br />put into effect to prevent the overuse of city resources (police response). He said ,national statistics <br />show that 94-98% of all alarms that police respond to are false alarms. This is a dangerous drain on the <br />police, who could be out doing other things. He said responses from the police chief and staff is that <br />the ordinance should remain in effect as it is now. He said he would do further research but recommend- <br />ed no change at present: <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Mayor Adams adjourned the meeting at 10:34 p.m. <br /> <br />Dolores A.
