<br />Mr. Price stated that people keep recycling, always saying there is something <br />wrong. He said the golf course has been successful and he doesn’t want to get <br />bogged down with non-transparent issues. He stated that Webster’s dictionary <br />said the word “transparent” means to be clear. So whenever someone comes up <br />and says there is something wrong, that is not clear and confuses people. If the <br />Park’s Director feels this needs to be done, he is okay with it, as right now she is <br />making money. <br /> <br />Ms. Feier stated the project has been approved by the Metropolitan Sewer <br />District and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. She stated that this <br />was the plan they wanted to proceed with as it handled a broader drainage area <br />than the original plan. It is being funded by the Missouri Department of Natural <br />Resources, which grant comes through Public Works. She stated that this plan <br />will better protect Ruth Park woods. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert stated that he would hope that we are now making money viewing <br />where the City presently is. Secondly he stated that Ms. MacCartney presented <br />a very specific scenario after the driving range was built and it was a rip-rap <br />scenario and felt MSD certainly would approve the new plan, as anything they <br />did not have to do in our community would be all right with them. <br /> <br />Ms. Ricci would be happy to make a motion to reconsider and remove this from <br />the consent calendar. She stated that MSD appears that when it suits us they <br />are our enemy and now they are our friend. She is concerned that the Park’s <br />Commission did not review this. Ms. Ricci stated she is very happy seeing <br />dollars coming in from the driving range but has not been provided with the <br />expenses. Ms. Ricci moved to reconsider the vote on the consent calendar and <br />to remove the Water Quality Project-storm water pond item.
