Session 1675, Minutes <br />August 19, 1996 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR (11 ITEMS) <br /> <br />Setting Public Hearing - Rezoning 1000 Pennsylvania Avenue (#1). It was recommended that a public <br />hearing be set for 7:30 p.m. September 9, 1996, in the Council Chamber to hear public comments on the <br />proposed rezoning of the former Mercy High School from "PR-O" Planned Residential-Office to "GC" <br />General Commercial. Following the public hearing, a bill may be introduced and site plan considered. <br /> <br />Memorandum of Agreement - Firefighters/Paramedics (#2). Approval is recommended for the updated <br />agreement which is changed from last year only in terms of salary per the pay ordinance approved by <br />Council last month. <br /> <br />Memorandum of Agreement - Fire Captains (#3). Approval is recommended of the memorandum of <br />agreement between the City and Fire Department captains, which changed from last year only in terms <br />of salary per the pay ordinance adopted by Council in early July. <br /> <br />1997 City Council Meeting Schedule (#4). The 1997 City Council meeting schedule is recommended <br />as follows: <br /> <br />January 6 and 27 <br />February 10 and 24 <br />March 10 and 24 <br />April 14 <br /> <br />May 5 and 19 (budget hearings) <br />June 9 and 23 <br />July 7 and 28 <br />August 18 <br /> <br />September 8 and 22 <br />October 13 <br />November 3 and 24 <br />December 15 <br /> <br />In addition, budget study meetings will be held Monday, May 12, and Wednesday, May 14. <br /> <br />Picnic Beer License - 7148 Forsyth (#5). Approval is recommended of a license to serve beer at a <br />benefit program to be held at Our Lady of Lourdes parish. Such licenses have been issued to this appli- <br />cant in the past with no unfavorable consequences. <br /> <br />Up,m'ade of Police Computer Software to V3R1 (#6). Information Systems Group, Inc., made the only <br />bid to upgrade the IBM computer system operating hardware in the Police Department. It was recom- <br />mended that their bid of $8,163 be accepted. <br /> <br />Top Dresser (#7). Bid on the purchase of a tow-type top dresser for the golf course were received as <br />follows: <br /> Brinker Tractor Sales, Inc.* Millcreek 50G $2.889 <br /> Outdoor Turfco Mete-r-matic III $7,540 <br /> Illinois Lawn Equipment Turfco Mete-r-matic III $8,240 <br /> <br />*The Brinker Tractor Sales bid did not meet required specifications. <br /> <br /> <br />
