Out of the 67 items, all but one item (a
wooden hutch) sold. The largest sales revenue generator was a John Deere tractor-
loader at $44,000. A 2000 Peterbuilt Refuse Truck went for $16,500. The five surplus
2006 – 2007 model Police vehicles generated a total of $21,600, averaging more than
$4,300 per vehicle. By auctioning the Police vehicles, the City received on average $1,000 more
for each vehicle (an increase of 30 percent more revenue per vehicle over 2007 levels).
I appreciate the efforts of every department for identifying items for sale, marketing and
coordinating informational postings; and I want to express particular thanks to Public
Works Director Shields for this inventive and effective solution.
Delmar Loop Planet Walk
The will officially open this Sunday, November 8, at the
Moonrise Hotel at 2 PM.
