<br /> <br />Session <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />November 21, 2005 <br /> <br />At a Regular Meeting of the City Council of University City held in the City Library <br />auditorium on Monday, November 21, 2005. Mayor Joseph Adams called the meeting <br />to order at 6:30 p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following Councilmembers were <br />present: <br /> Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br /> Ms. Francine Brungardt <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Ms. Stefany Brot <br /> Ms. Welsch <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was Willie Norfleet, the acting City Manager, while Mr. Ollendorff is out of <br />town. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe Jr. moved to accept amended minutes of September 19, 2005, and was <br />seconded by Ms. Welsch, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS: <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch motioned to reappointed Cameron Sanders to the CALOP Commission for <br />one three year term. Mr. Sanders is the current chair of the committee. The <br />reappointment of Mr. Sanders was seconded by Mr. Wagner, which carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS: <br />1. Resolution for new fire hydrants was introduced by Ms. Welsch and was <br />seconded by Mr. Sharpe Jr. <br /> <br />Fires hydrants are to be placed at Forest Park Parkway near Waves Ave one <br />near Big Bend Blvd., and one at Maryland Ave. formerly known as Pratt Ave., <br />south of WestMoreland. The vote carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Moton requested to make a brief comment of the prestigious award University City’s <br />Finance department, lead by Mr. Norfleet received. The GFOA (Government Finance <br />Officers’ Association awarded Mr. Norfleet the certificate of achievement and reporting, <br />which very few communities have ever been awarded. <br /> <br /> <br />
