She would feel better if both attorneys could talk <br />about it and with both in attendance, present it to Council so that we could make sure that not <br />only were Ames Place interests fulfilled but that the City of University City would benefit from <br />having its requests covered. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner requested of City Manager to make this meeting happen, with Council, our <br />attorney and Ames Place's attorney <br /> <br />With conclusion of this bill, the meeting was turned back to City Manager's agenda. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #1 - The Consent Calendar <br /> <br />Each item on the consent calendar was handled individually. <br /> <br />#1 - Delmar Streetscape Engineering Services <br />Authorization of a contract with Benton & Associates with Johannes Cohen to design new <br />street lighting for the U. City Loop not to exceed $242,000 was recommended. <br />Ms. Welsch motioned for approval and was seconded by Mr. Sharpe Jr. <br /> <br />#2 - City Hall Data Wire Contract <br />Confirmation requested of emergency contract for data and wire update for City Hall upper <br />floors. Contract is with Tech Electronics for $17,221. <br />Mr. Sharpe Jr. motioned for approval and was seconded by Ms. Welsch. <br /> <br />#3 - Public Hearing for Infill Review Board <br />Recommended date for Public Hearing of January 30, 2006 at the Council meeting at 6:30 <br />p.m. <br />Mr. Wagner motioned for acceptance and Ms. Welsch seconded it. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #2 - Public Hearing Rezoning 547/551 North & South <br />Public Hearing was for comments on rezoning two houses from "SR" Single Family to "LR" <br />Limited Residential to accommodate four townhome condo dwellings. <br /> <br />Public Hearing was opened at 6:30 p.m. No one was present to speak, so Hearing was <br />closed at 6:35 p.m. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #3 - Public Hearing on Residential Sign Zoning <br />It was recommended that the public hearing on political signs (zoning amendment) set for <br />6:30 p.m. be continued to April 17, 2006, the first council meeting following University City's <br />Municipal election. This will encourage full and fair public consideration in a less politically <br />charged environment. The bill on the Legislative Docket could be tabled to that date. <br />The voice vote was taken for continuing public hearing to April 17 was passed unanimously <br />by Ayes. <br /> <br />Page 3 <br />
