Ms. Welsch seconded the motion to open it for <br />discussion. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS: <br />John Lamb, 8672 Barby Lane <br />Mr. Lamb had serious concerns of not being informed of the parking lot that would be <br />created next to his property. He asked what was the future of the few remaining home <br />owners on Barby Lane. <br /> <br />Tom Malon, 8677 Barby Lane <br />He stated that since 1998, there were seventeen changes of ownerships of which none <br />were Single Family purchases. There are only five home owners left along with seven <br />rental, three vacant lots of which one has been for sale for two years. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner motioned for adding an amendment to state that Mr. Deutsch would be <br />required to present a plan he has for the area now and the possible plan for the future. <br />Mr. Wagner said the amendment would be to approve the parking lot with a three month <br />limitation at which time Mr. Deutsch would come back with his general plan for the area. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner's motion was seconded by Ms. Brot. The motion was passed with one Nay <br />vote coming from Ms. Welsch. <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS: <br /> <br />Elsie Glickert, 6712 Etzel <br />Ms. Glickert talked about Urban Renewal - creating open space in front of the Post <br />Office. She wanted to know what was happening with Park space being built on and <br />wanted a response. <br /> <br />Byron Price, 1520 78th <br />Mr. Price questioned the passing of the Chicken Ordinance. <br /> <br />Ms. Kennell, 1332 Purdue <br />Ms. Kennell was questioning the passage of the Site Plan for a Rally's restaurant. She <br />was concerned that neither she nor any of her neighbors received a notification of a <br />Public Hearing on this proposal. She also questioned how traffic would be a problem <br />upon the opening of the restaurant as was exhibited when a previous fast food <br />restaurant was in same location. <br /> <br />Page 9 <br />
