AGENDA ITEM # 6 - Request for Permit to Solicit - Fund for Public Interest Research Plan was to canvas the Loop from January 31, 2006, through February 21, 2006, on behalf of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). They will collect financial contributions, petition signatures, and recruit members. Ms. Welsch asked representatives about the larger than normal percentage of administrative cost. Representatives said that it was estimated a little higher to be sure to cover cost of hand-out literature and t-shirts. Ms. Colquitt and Mayor Adams complemented the organization for their work and knew how hard it was to get funding support. Ms. Welsch motioned for approval and was seconded by Ms. Brot.
