SESSION 1712 <br /> <br /> MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />DECEMBER 15, 1997 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council <br />Chamber of City Hall on Monday, December 15, 1997, Mayor Joseph L. Adams <br />called the meeting to order at 7.'30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following <br />members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Hardy Ware <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Mr. Larry Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the minutes of November 24, 1997. Mr. Ware <br />seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams read a resolution supporting the position statement of the University <br />City School District regarding the Success For All Children Danforth Initiative Grant. <br />The school district is in the third year of a five year grant. The Council also resolved <br />that the City would promise to cooperate fully and provide the necessary resources to <br />reach these goals. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman moved adoption. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion, which carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT: <br /> <br />Mr. Ware moved the appointment of Mr. Robert Klepper, 6355 Washington, to the <br />Park Commission for a term ending January 21, 2000. Mr. Wagner seconded the <br />motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
