SESSION 1730 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />AUGUST 17, 1998 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chamber <br />of City Hall on Monday, August 17, 1998, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to <br />order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were <br />present: <br /> <br />Ms. Cassandra Colquirt <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Mr. Larry Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr, <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the minutes for the regular meeting of July 27, 1998. <br />Mr. Sharpe seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved approval of the minutes for the special meeting of August 6, 1998. <br />Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MAYORAL APPOINTMENTS TO METROLINK COMMUNITY WORKING GROUP: <br /> <br />The Mayor announced that he had selected two citizens to be a part of this committee. <br />These two appointees, he believes, will reflect the needs and desires of the residents of <br />University City, particularly in that part of the route. He said that both of these citizens <br />have done service for University City in the past and they both live adjacent to the <br />proposed route. The appointees are Mr. Matthew McCauley and Mr. Todd Thompson. <br />Members of Council have a memo from him announcing his appointments and his <br />rationale behind it. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE: <br /> <br />The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office to the following: Mr. Jimmie irons - <br />Planning Commission and Ms. Edith "DeeDee" Tare ~ Industrial Development Authority. <br /> <br /> <br />
