Motion was <br />unanimously approved. <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #3 — Annual Budget Public Hearing <br />It has been policy that the first Monday in May, to host a public Hearing for citizens to <br />comment on any budget concerns they might have. Council will have three Study <br />sessions going over the proposed Budget and at the next Regular session, there will be <br />another Public Hearing for citizens to speak. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams declared the Public Hearing open at 6:55 p.m. <br /> <br />Richard Dockett, 6844 Crest Ave. <br />Mr. Dockett presented City Clerk with comments and requests from residents in the <br />northeast quadrant on the proposed budget. <br />1. Additional funds for housing improvements <br />2. Additional funds for homebuyers, homeowners programs <br />3. Identify funding sources for home repair and improvement <br />4. Continue sidewalk & street maintenance program <br />5. Pave or vacate unimproved North-South alleys <br />6. Improve street lighting <br />7. Organize block clean-up days <br />8. Encourage property owners to maintain & beautify their property and <br />neighborhood. <br />Mr. Dockett requested equal budget spending between all three wards. <br /> <br />Elsie Glickert, 6712 Etzel <br />Ms. Glickert requested an addition to the budget for additional swim time during <br />Christmas Holidays. She also requested the amenities be returned to the park at <br />Clements and some landscaping be done to improve on the damage that was done. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams declared the Public Hearing closed at 7:05 p.m. <br /> <br />Ms. Brot asked Mr. Ollendorff if he was keeping the future City Manager informed of the <br />budget processes and if Ms. Feier was asked for input or maybe a teleconference would <br />be helpful. <br />Article VI, Section 35 of the Charter says the approval of the Budget should be done no <br />later than June 27. Ms. Brot asked to go on record saying that it is the new City <br />Manager who will be administering this budget and felt that she should be included on <br />the budget planning.
