CITY COUNCIL STUDY SESSION <br /> <br />SEPTEMBER 19, 1998 <br /> <br />At a study session meeting, which was duly posted, of the City Council of University City held <br />in the Library Board Room on Saturday, September 19,1998, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the <br />meeting to order at 8:40 a.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council <br />were present: <br /> <br />Ms. Cassandra Colqnitt <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Mr. Larry Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff, Assistant City Manager Gregory Rose and <br />City Clerk Leisha Meine. <br /> <br />AGENDA NO. 1 - EMINENT DOMAIN: <br /> <br />The sense of the Council was to change the current policy to: <br /> <br />The City will consider use of eminent domain on properties which have physically habitable <br />buildings only in those cases where there are a few commercial, multi-family properties or only <br />one single family property upon which a comprehensive development proposal depends. The <br />developer must provide a relocation plan to equivalent premises with request. <br /> <br />AGENDA NO. 2 - METROLINK: <br /> <br />The sense of the Council was to leave the resolution adopted on July 7, 1997, which stated <br />Council's position as to how MetroLink would be constructed in University City, as it stood with <br />no reconfirmation necessary. <br /> <br />AGENDA NO. 3 - CODE ENFORCEMENT: <br /> <br />At the request of Councilmember Colquitt, Mr. Rose reported the current status of code <br />enforcement techniques and compliance. The City agreed to identify Occupm~cy Pemfit <br />affidavits with names of the occupants, for more convenient use by the School District. <br /> <br /> <br />
