Session 1731, Minutes <br />August 3 I, 1998 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends awarding this purchase to Key Equipment for their low bid <br />of $27,555.00. <br /> <br />#5 - Sidewalk & Curb Annual Contract: Bid proposals for this project were as follows: <br /> <br />Midwest Mudjacking Co., Inc <br /> <br />$193,250.11 <br /> <br />Bennish Construction Co., Inc. <br /> <br />$195,106.50 <br /> <br />Engineer's Estimate <br /> <br />$18~099.00 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends that this project be awarded to Midwest Mudjacking & <br />Construction Co., Inc. for their low bid of $193,250.11. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel moved approval of the consent calendar. Mr. Sharpe seconded the motion, <br />which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA #2:7401 PERSHING LIQUOR LICENSE TRANSFER: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff said approval is in order for issuing a license to sell beer and wine for <br />consumption on the premises to Paul Bandera in connection with his restaurant on the <br />northwest corner of Pershing and Jackson. The restaurant currently located here has <br />been a credit to the community presenting no police problems of any kind. The new <br />owner has a dear record of successful restaurant ownership and management and has <br />established a good reputation. The City's staff has encouraged Mr. Bandera to open a <br />restaurant in University City and we are pleased that he has agreed to do so. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved approval. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer asked the applicant if he would continue the same kind of operation that <br />Black Tie had. <br /> <br />Mr. Paul Bandera, 8418 Natural Bridge, stated that he plans to do the same thing, but <br />more upscale to attract more business. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA #3:8341 OLIVE PACKAGE LIQUOR LICENSE: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff said that the Clark Oil Station has applied for a license to sell beer and <br />wine by the package at retail. The City Council's policy in the past has been to deny <br /> <br /> <br />
