Session 173 I, Minutes
August 3 I, 1998

Mr. Lieberman said that he believes that these people are holding us up with this
$70,000 price. It galls him to know that we will have to pay out this kind of money to get
this piece of property. Mayor Adams agreed.

The motion passed unanimously.

AGENDA NO. 5- 1999 COUNCIL MEETING SCHEDULE:

Mr. Ollendorff recommends approval of next year's Council meetings and budget
studies as follows:

January 11 February 8 March 15 & April 12 & May 10 & June 7 & 21
& 25 & 22 29 26 24

July 12 & August 9 & September October 4 & November $ December
26 30 tba 18 & 22 13

City Council Budget Study: Monday, May 17 and May 19

Mr. Ollendorff said that the only question is the month of September, due to travel and
holiday conflicts. The first Monday is Labor Day, the second Monday is the Municipal
League meeting, which several members of the Council attend, the third Monday is a
religious holiday and the fourth Monday is just one week away from the October
meeting and he would be attending a City Manager's conference.

Mr. Schoomer said it might be possible to set up a Wednesday meeting.

Mr. Sharpe said we should just follow the Mayor's and City Manager's suggestion and
have a meeting called if one is needed, otherwise, just wait until the October meeting.

Mayor Adams said that a special meeting could be called with the proper notification.

Mr. Munkel said that we are doing this as a convenience to be placed in the calendar
and as long as we properly post the meeting, we should just leave it as tba. The Mayor
agreed.

Mr. Munkel moved approval. Ms. Colquitt seconded the motion, which carried
unanimously.
