Session 173 I, Ninutes 9 August 3 t, 1998 Mr. Sharpe moved adoption. Ms. Colquirt seconded the motion. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe, Ms. Colquirt, Mr. Munkel, Mayor Adams. Bill 8399 became Ordinance 6181. Mr. Lieberman noted that the City has maintained the same tax rate as the previous year. Mayor noted it had been the same for the last couple of years. BILL 8400- AMENDING CHAPTER 23 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO OFFENSES- MISCELLANEOUS, BY REPEALING SECTION 23-32.2 THEREOF, RELATING TO STEALING UNDER ONE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS PROHIBITED, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF NEW SECTIONS TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 23-32.2 STEALING," AND "SECTION 23-32.3. RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY," AND "SECTION 23- 32.4. DEFINITIONS;" THEREBY AMENDING CHAPTER 23 SO AS TO DELETE THE JURISDICTIONAL LIMIT FOR STEALING OFFENSES AND CONFORM WITH STATE LAW; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY, The bill was given its second reading. STREET, ETC., EXCAVATIONS- GENERALLY; PERMIT; BOND;" THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO ESTABLISH NEW EXCAVATION PERMIT REQUIREMENTS RELATING TO APPLICATION FEES AND BONDS, AND AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO ISSUE PERMITS FOR EXCAVATIONS ON PRIVATE STREETS, ETC.; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
